Every bathtub in this range is a full-size bathtub for adults — freestanding acrylic tubs, jacuzzi whirlpool tubs with body jets, and the floor-mounted fillers that feed them. No baby tubs, no inflatable or portable tubs. The freestanding tubs are acrylic in glossy or matt finishes, in white, black, blue and a natural finish, in lengths of 140, 150, 160, 165, 170 and 180 cm, including extra-deep models and one on chrome or gold metal legs. The whirlpool side runs from a single-seater with six body jets through a two-seater at 180 x 120 cm, a square corner tub at 130 and 150 cm, and a four-seater at 210 x 160 cm. Bath fillers are floor-mounted taps, some with a hand shower, in seven finishes. Freestanding tubs start around ₹39,500 and the largest jacuzzi models run well into six figures; fillers sit around ₹15,000 to ₹17,500.
What size bathtub suits an adult
Three measurements decide whether a bath is comfortable for a grown adult, and most people only check the first. Length decides whether you can straighten your legs: up to around 5 ft 8 in a 150 cm tub is enough, and above roughly 5 ft 10 in you want 170 cm or more. Width decides shoulder room — 75 cm is standard here, 85 cm is noticeably roomier. Depth decides whether the water actually covers you, and it varies more than anything else in this range: NEXA and LUNAR are 72 cm deep, SATURN and ERIS 60 cm, TAISOR 55 cm. A 150 cm tub at 72 cm deep gives a better soak than a 170 cm tub at 55 cm, and takes 20 cm less floor.
How to choose a bathtub
-
Measure the room, then the doorway. A 170 cm tub is the common full-length size, but it needs clear space on the long side and enough room around it to clean behind. Check that the tub will physically come through the door and up the stairs or lift.
-
Freestanding needs floor plumbing. A freestanding tub is fed by a floor-mounted filler, which means the hot and cold lines come up through the floor slab. That has to be planned before tiling. A wall-fed tub is a different installation entirely.
-
Compact versus full length. 140 and 150 cm tubs suit apartment bathrooms and still allow a proper soak seated. Extra-deep models give more water depth in the same footprint.
-
Jacuzzi means electrics and access. A whirlpool tub needs a pump, a power supply and an access panel for servicing. Plan all three before the tub goes in.
-
Glossy or matt. Glossy acrylic is the easier surface to keep clean and to polish out light scuffs. Matt black and matt white look better under hard water but need non-abrasive cleaning only.
Acrylic, water supply and Indian bathrooms
Acrylic is used for these tubs because it is warm to touch, holds heat better than steel or stone, and is light enough to be carried up to a flat and fitted on a normal slab. The practical constraint in most Indian homes is not the tub but the supply: filling a 170 cm tub from an overhead tank with no pressure pump takes a long time, and a geyser sized for a shower will not fill it hot. Check your geyser capacity and your pressure before committing, particularly if you are buying one of the 72 cm deep models. Drainage matters too - the floor waste has to take a full tub emptying at once. For cleaning, a soft cloth and liquid cleaner is all acrylic needs; scouring powder will haze the surface permanently.
Common questions
Are these bathtubs for adults or children? All of them are adult baths. The smallest freestanding tub is 140 cm long and the shortest model of any kind is a 110 cm sitting tub, in which an adult sits upright rather than lying down. We do not sell baby tubs or portable inflatable tubs.
What size bathtub fits an Indian apartment bathroom? A 140 or 150 cm freestanding tub is usually the realistic limit. 170 cm needs a dedicated wall and a bathroom planned around it.
Which bathtub is best for a tall adult? TAISOR at 180 cm is the longest, and at 85 cm the widest. If depth matters more than length, NEXA and LUNAR are 72 cm deep against TAISOR's 55 cm.
Do I need a special tap for a freestanding tub? Yes - a floor-mounted bath filler, plumbed up through the floor. Some come with a hand shower attached for rinsing down.
Is a jacuzzi tub practical at home? It is, provided you can give it a power point, an access panel for the pump, and enough hot water to fill it. Without those three it is a plain tub with jets you cannot use.
