A basin tap — a pillar cock — from the VIDRA range. It stands in the single tap hole of the basin and runs from one supply, so it is the fitting to use where the basin takes a single deck-mounted tap rather than a wall mixer. The body is cast from solid lead-free brass ingot and plated in three layers — copper, 10-micron nickel and 0.3-micron chromium, for a glossy, highly reflective chrome surface.

A food-grade plastic aerator in the outlet softens the stream and cuts the noise of running water, and the quarter-turn lever works over a ceramic disc cartridge rated beyond 5,00,000 operations.

Key features

• Deck-mounted pillar cock – stands in the basin's single tap hole and runs off one supply.
• Foam-flow aerator – a food-grade plastic aerator adds air to the stream, cuts splash noise and saves around 20% water.
• Quarter-turn operation – the handle travels a quarter turn from shut to fully open.
• Ceramic disc cartridge – tested beyond 5,00,000 operations; the thicker disc keeps movement smooth under high line pressure.
• Lead-free brass body – cast from solid brass ingot, so the waterway stays free of lead.
• Up to 10 years warranty – covered by the Jabon service warranty once the product is registered.
